    Would require a mandatory waiting period of three days between the purchase and delivery of a firearm. Committee heard 01/24, recommended 11-2 do not pass.

    Just the fact that the bill was proposed in your state should get you guys on your toes. If you don't have a state affiliate of the NRA, or some such gun owners group, you should think seriously about forming one.

    Here in IL., we have to have a card to purchase a gun. It can take months to get it. For many years, we had to wait 72 hrs. after purchase to pick up a handgun. As of Jan. 1 of this year, it was extended to long guns, also. With almost 70% of the legislators having part of their districts in Cook and the heavily populated counties surrounding it, we downstates are almost powerless in this state.

    Glad that was voted down for your state! WI had a waiting period for hand guns, but I believe that is gone now too...
