When do you all get your first bunch of mosquitos? Do you use Intrceptor on your dogs?

Got this straight from a vet in Tucson....go to the feed store and get a bottle of Ivomec (Ivomectin). It is an injectable for cattle. Buy a syringe, BUT YOU DON'T INJECT YOUR DOG! Just put one drop from the syringe per ten lbs of dog weight on his food once a month. One bottle costs about $35.00 and will last the life of a dog.

Now, if you doubt the effectiveness of this, his wife owned 15 Irish Wolfhounds that were worth around $15K each and he trusted their health to this method.

Depending on where you are at in Az. I've seen them year round at times.
Normally it is May that I really start seeing them but they get thick after the monsoons hit. That's usually July.
