What tips or tricks do you use to beat the heat while fishing in blistering conditions of summer?

Wear a large brimmed hat. Drink plenty of water. Use the shade when you can. Stay rested.

several neck coolers around for sale. Wet them and drape around neck so that water goes onto skin , especially around carotid arteries. As the water evaporates, it cools the skin, and should help keep you cool as well.

Expensive but worth it,drink a bottle of pedialyte each day starting 2 full days before you go fishing and plenty of water.Being very hydrated will help you tolerate the heat.We fish Lake Mead all summer and sometimes we don't get off the water until 2 pm,and it will reach 110.A hat with a neck and ear protection and a long sleeve WHITE shirt made of breathable material will save your arms.I have a couple made by Columbia and they are great,.Also be careful,if you don't feel right get off the water.Try and fish in a boat that has a Bimini top if possible, makes a huge difference.

get a white fiberglass boat. The deck on my Whaler always stayed fairly cool, while my buddies in their war eagle boats could fry bacon on theirs.

Cooling towel....Harbor Freight.....5$ before coupon. Wet and drape snugly around neck and shoulders.
