Help IDing decoy please

    This was given to a hunting partner of mine by a family member. The story he was given was this was a decoy his father and uncle hunted over in the 40s and 50s. We are located in the southern IL area if this helps at all. Any ideas of maker or other information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    I have no idea, kinda looks like a China bird of some sort.

    I have to go along with WHUP; no keel, no attachment for an anchor line, tells me it wasn't hunted over...and the general body and head shapes are very similar to Pacific Rim decoys being sold in tourist shop all over the world today. Don't be surprised if you never have conclusive proof of its maker.
