Hey guys need some help here, on placing diver dekes for cans and bills.

Here is the scenario. I have about 4 doz can dekes and 3 doz bill dekes. I have heard cans wont decoy to bills but bills will decoy to cans. We hunt out of a boat blind and also set out puddlers. so how would you set this up?

Last thurs got out late due to motor probs so only got the cans and puddlers out. set the cans in a j hook pattern and the puddlers off to the other side. Had about 50 cans fly over twice right before legal but then thats all we saw of the cans:rolleyes: We did have blackheads come in and shot a few but the mallards would look and look and look and then go:confused:

Now i did fix the motor yesterday so next trip out we will be able to put all the dekes out. On the divers would you mix on a long line both species? or maybe the cans at the start and then bills and cans mixed in the J ?? I think the mallard dekes were too close to the divers and thats why they all flared but post up some suggestions please:D

    Thanks
