I'd honestly love to hear an actual, feasible idea that would actually work without limiting rights, I just have yet to see one here or anywhere else.

In that case we’re limited to trying to keep guns out of the hands of weirdos.

How about making a psychological examination a requirement for gun ownership?

How will that fix one from later going crazy? What about veterans with ptsd?

Or psychiatrists with an anti-gun agenda who declare sane folks insane to take their right to bear arms away.

The way I see it, there’s only 3 paths.

    1. Do nothing and accept that with freedom comes great responsibility, and that means that some times irresponsible behavior will result in death.

    2. Infringe on the right to bear arms.

    3. Attempt to keep guns out of crazy peoples’ hands via some sort of psychological vetting process.

If you see any other option I’m all ears.

That's pretty much my thoughts/beliefs on the matter.

FIFY. I’m not comfortable just targeting gun owners. Lots of ways for crazy to act out. Fair is fair.

I could get behind that. But there again, how do we safeguard against individual bias by the examiners?

In reality, seriously, reality, we cannot. It will always be influenced by “who” is in charge.
