I'm sure many of you have found this before. Original Herter's heads seized onto the the eye bolts. Seems to be no way it can be unscrewed.

    Any advice or tips?

You ca try to heat the eye bolt up just a bit. But be careful to much heat and your gonna melt everything around the bolt. Odds are good the stems will crack if you can't get them to move and will be time to replace them.

Yeah a pair pliers to break them free and then just replace them is my plan. Always looking for Herters heads. Won’t use any Homer stuff.

Take a vibration sander and let it knock against the eyebolts for a minute or two.

The vibration knocking broke mine lose. It's an old Dego trick I learned at an old duck club in the Suisun marsh that I got to hunt many years ago.

I’ve tried WD40 and heat with mixed results.

If you’re not set on replacing with Herters I’ve been real happy with Homer heads
