Did all the scrapers from the refuge get boats for Christmas? The delta was horrible today with all the high shooting going on

It’s the worst I’ve ever seen it in 20yrs guys in fishing boats shooting at honkers 100+yds away! I really like the group that launches out of bethel island in a basstracker thatbwas shooting at swans all morning

Guys are getting desperate and some would rather take high shots than no shots. Pass shooting has been a staple on the D for decades.

I’ve seen a few shell runs lately on poor harvest days. Kind of head scratching. 3 guys came into a parking lot today by 9:15 AM to reload. That means they took 75 shots in 2 hours of hunting. Wonder how quickliy they run out of shells on good days? Also saw a Dad make a shell run for his 20 something year-old party consisting of 3 other hunters When I saw how high they were shooting, no wonder they ran out of all 125 shells by 1:00 PM. Heard they had 15 or so birds for all those shots.

Education on ballistics has always been poor. Is it getting worse? I dunnu it just seams that at many places if a bird flies directly over head no matter the height, it gets shot. A few high shooters in your neighborhood can impact the flight and hunt for every one else. It’s always educational at how well birds will work after the high shooters leave.

Not all refuge hunters high gun. A good percentage don't. But those who do, do it no matter where they hunt.
