    Dave,

Those photos bring back some memories for me after having lived 10 years in Wasilla....especially your hunt at the head of the creek with your girls looking with the binos... and down on the flats...man those October tides can teach a walk in guy a few things.....Nice shots...really like the brant...he sure was lost.

Do the birds still load up and make a racket on Coffee point?

Used to be almost deafening on some mornings when they would pile up there.

Not like they used to. I first hunted out there in the late 80's and found large areas of some leafy type of plant that they loved. A lot of that is grown over with taller grasses and even some willows now. I'm not sure if the areas rising, or just really changing. Very different out there now. Still holds birds, but not like it used to.

Well, I think we sort of trained each other. We've been hunting moose and caribou with the horses for the last 10 years or so, and we pretty much have it figured out now. The horses are very good hunting horses in that they remain dead calm for the shooting, loading etc....Its been pretty good in terms of success, and is a really nice way to hunt. I've posted some of the hunts on this and other forums over the past years. Some links below.
