I heard it said that to be holy is to be set apart. For example. We live in an unholy world. We are called to be set apart from it. Many today try to blend the two. God will not have it. You can not be in both. To claim to be in Christ and be in the world is to be in error. You can not be. For example.
Suppose you find a baseball card of a famous ball player. The card is worth a very large sum of money. You leave the card as a bookmark in a library book. The librarian goes through the book and finds the card. The value is noticed and she is worth millions.
The world places value on that who is its own. Gods places value on His own. God's treasure is hidden in Christ. When we are made holy we see the value of our Savior. The abundant riches in Christ Jesus can not be seen by the world. To the world it is foolish. Holiness is only valued by holy people. God's people.

    Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

    Luke 12:7
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

    Amen.
One master makes you holy the other holey.
Fear the one who can kill both the body and the soul.
