Nothing towards them guys at Southern flyway but I couldn't afford a $250 decoy raft and new deeks to go around it. So got in the works of my own decoy raft.

Got some emt conduit woven it into the plastic fence. And zip tied it in place.

Decoys on 8" sections with snap clamps

And they attach to the fencing.

Attached some future repaints to see how it worked. Made putting out and picking up pretty easy. Few more things to change but it's heading in the right direction.

The issue I predict.. Wind or waves pull hard enough on the decoys to bring the fence to the surface. Weights on the fencing might help that.

The green may or may not look bad like that and I could be wrong?

    A+ for effort!

I have tried some similar ideas with the intention of quick pick up and put out. With only mediocre success.

Ideas like this always sound better than they work.

But, at least you're thinking. :tu

You could easily camo spray paint the net. Black and browns. Looks great.

Could you attach a line to that and use it as a Jerk spread???

I'm not sure? I'm still processeing how I'll use it but gives other an idea to maybe try. I think it's look cool as a jerk sting but may make the deeks bunch up if they rear bungee don't pull em back good

To help keep the netting down replace it with aluminum chain link fence. Its lite and will still roll up but will sink and last longer than plastic

From the looks of the commercial net rig I believe they are made from black kennel shade cover material. Going to put one together for sea duck rig before upcomeing season. Like the looks of the commercial rig myself but don,t think I would spend that much for it.
