Tried bow hunting the last couple of days. 86 degrees is just too darn hot for Iowa deer to move during daylight hours. I passed on a little 3 point buck last night and my buddy passed on a small doe, so it wasn't the deers fault I left with my tags intact. In the dark of early morning today, we saw two beautiful trophy class bucks less than 1/2 a mile from his farm. Yes, I drooled..........

I never go out when in the upper 70's or higher personally. If the bugs are out, I am not. Cooler is better and the deer like it less bugs too. Cooler temps coming this week.

    I haven't been out yet.

Last weekend, even the ducks were sweating and they weren't wearing waders.
