Good morning. As I have a little time this morning I wonder how it's going for everyone? In our neck of the woods we are fixing boats/maintenance mode. Will go to marsh next weekend to have a look see. Clear the wasps, clean trails, start brushing etc. It hasn't rained anything significant really since Harvey. That can bode well for the marsh, but can be bad all at once. This little cold front next week and the full moon in a couple of weeks should fill Louisiana with birds. My buddy has been doing some deer hunting close to our lease and is seeing piles of wood ducks. All in all the excitement is brewing as we draw near. How's everyone else doing? Fired up or meh?

All that’s left for us is to put out decoys once the pump starts running.

Bailed water out , cut brush, brushed panels 2 weeks ago and shoveled mud and picked up trash yesterday.

Saw the grand passage of bwt about 2 weeks ago. Right on time- about a week after the season closed. Still has me feeling meh.

Saw a big flock of shovelers this morning, lifted my spirits a bit.

I’m looking for a couple of good workers who will cut willows and brush my 3 blinds. Need them to check all my decoys, re-string and put them out. Also, need someone to wash sheets, make up beds, clean and mop entire camp.

Done nothing, we probably won't have water until Christmas.

Will be at the camp this Sunday setting up, and will take a ride to the blind to check it out. 4th and 5th we'll brush and get the decoys out.
