Here's the secret to killing ducks this year at this time.
Leave the decoys and the calls at home. Plan on a 10 to 15 minute hunt. That is as long as at least I have ducks in the air.
You need to hunt by yourself or with one other person who knows what he is doing.
You need to develope a run and gun tactic.
First thing in the morning watch for a few ducks to land somewhare, then sneak in as close to them as you can all the while watching the sky for circling ducks. When you get close to them you should be in range of any flyers that are trying to lite with the first ones. It is then a simple matter of good shooting at close ranges.
I have found that decoys and calls just push the ducks to other places. They are wanting to watch others ducks land before they will get close to gun range.
The kicker is they still circle and circle even after watching other ducks land. This alows you to get in under them.

I don't hunt arkansas, but what works for us here in the north SCOUTING, if you don't see ducks try a different spot. no wonder you guys can't kill any thing.

Zoom, go to LA or MO you think the ducks know the AR boarders.

just messin with you guys, there is no snow cover and some of the lakes are still open in WI and we are holding ducks and geese. If you guys are willing to travel next fall, I can put you on geese for sure and ducks you'll have shooting but can not garentee anything.
