It's not often we get to pursue just 1 bird. When its a bird this special we tend to make an exception. Anyone else out there ever shot or pursued a Quill? Let's see some pics!

The river out here between ND and SD is where they are the most common. Never allot of them but if your watching you generally will see a couple per year and have seen guys who have shot multiple in one hunt.

And from SD. too NE. I have 3 on the wall now and other chances before but I have passed on others that didn't have the BIG ribbon across the front. I had chances but did not shoot since a couple of buddy's of mine never seen one let alone take one so I gave them their chances and they scored!!! Talk about a couple of thrilled hunters!!! Most of the ones I have seen or heard that been take were later in the season.

NICE!!!:tu That's my goal for my next one! White wing tips. My three don't have that but have the same size ribbon on the breast.

Got 4 on the wall, two are nice, one isn't much of a quill but still got mounted and the fourth, well we are not going to talk about how horrible the taxidermist did.

The group we were hunting with took one last Saturday.
