Hunting Geese That Aren't Using a Field

    How close to the water are you? Getting birds when coming back from feeding may be tough if they can see the water and other birds. I would find more decoy (lots if possible) and flag & call like crazy as they head out. I personally have found it to be tough to traffic birds right next to the roost....it gets easier the farther away you are. Or, wait for crappy weather and that will help too.

    +1 ....... Traxion's last sentence .... if possible, be sure to hunt on days when the weather is very snowy; I have found they frequently don't fly out very far when ice/snow are on the way/or happening.
