Went this morning, blind was almost submerged, and the waves have knocked down the rock walls, ended up with only 1 Mergie, looked at the end of my barrell and I have a 3 inch split, needless to say the gun is finished. Came home and both Girls stayed home sick from School. Not the greatest day so far, but now I can sit back hopefully and watch the games this afternoon.

WildCanuck, it was a Remington 870, pump, have had it for years, good excuse to get a new one for next year. Will use my son's gun. Not many birds flying at all. Fair amount of mergies, seen 1 lone Canada goose. If the youngest is not sick in the am, will be heading back up, heard it was going to be windy!!

I thought about getting a replacement barrell, but even the stock has a small crack in the wood, the crack has been there for years. I will be looking forward to getting a new gun, just did not think this one would end up like this. Probably the cause is using steel??
