Mike, you wouldn't happen to have a lease between Hwy 382 and South Main ?

Who ever is hunting this field must be limiting every hunt, we are just to the south next to Hwy 1126 and watch specks drop from the heavens on this field year after year :bow

good weekend in northeast LA, good variety of puddlers, mostly green-wings and mallards, with some specks and snows mixed in. Got soaked yesterday but had fun.

(had a group of about 25 northern shovelers come in pretty, 8 stayed )

Killed a 2 man limit on Saturday. Mostly wigeon and the rest greys. We were able to give the teal, scaup and spoons a free pass. My buddy would come unhinged when spoons would fly by. First the safety would click, then he would start easing up, then his head would come up. The whole time I am whispering it's a spoonbill...Poor fellow just wanted to kill a duck and I wouldn't let him.

Anywho my legs still burn from the marathon of walking. It reminds me of the feeling I used to get after running bleachers. Nothing worth doing is easy I suppose.

Shooting much slower than I was hoping. Not nearly the birds I was expecting. Saw very few big groups of ducks. Plenty in Rockefeller though.

Shot 11 on Saturday and then just 4 on Sunday, but had to leave early with them still flying. Hunted in Grand Chenier south of 82.

Been making some farm release rounds and found pockets where bluewings can still be counted in hundreds, but the big surprise was flushing three apparently healthy specklebellies on April 17th.
