My best buck so far. Got him yesterday. 11 pointer. By biggest buck with a bow or gun. One more step and he would have been gone. I was shaking like a leaf!

Thanks! I still can't believe I was lucky enough to get a deer like that. It was my first morning hunting on a small lease in middle Ga. Mostly pine trees.

I got in my stand before daylight and right after I could see the ground, a small fawn went running by like something was chasing it. I was thinking coyote and thought to myself I'd shoot it if I got the chance.

2 minutes later I see antlers coming my way! He went behind a bush and I stood up, turned, and drew my bow. When he stepped into a clear spot I was about to shoot when a deer behind me snorted. The buck jumped behind a tree, then started looking like he was going to bolt. I had one spot left where I could get a shot and when he was crossing it, I bleated like a deer and he froze. I made what for me is a miraculous shot at 35 yds. Hit him exactly where I was aiming. He was quartering away and I got him just behind the ribs and the arrow exited right behind the far shoulder. He went about 60yds.

That's better than a "pretty good one"...that's a great one. Especially with the stick and string!!
