Won't be going until next weekend. Can't wait to go. How did your opener go?

I went Dusky Grouse hunting. Picked up a pair of birds; a Scotch Double - one shot with two birds.

No open season here yet. But if you count birds found by new puppy and starter pistol shots, i have a couple seasons worth already

Been punching a few doves. Took the pointer out last night and let him chase stink birds. No quail, few doves. May shoot some Loft Grouse today.

No grouse till Oct 15th. Killed a few doves but there aren't too many around. Too much bad weather and its getting cool already. Can't wait to chase grouse again this year, though.:yes Hopefully I can shoot a rooster or two, also.

Got in on the Sept 3 day opener for sharptails -- now I have to wait for Oct 1 for the area we normally hunt to open.
