Alabama was a dissapointment last summer, getting too old and missing the fiddle player. Alan jackson was ok, never been a huge AJ fan. The best thing about seeing Alan Jackson as a headliner there, was when he took the stage he said well ,they paid me to come here and play some real country music for all of you.

Most, if not every one of those you mentioned suck. Did you not ever get a chance to see, DAC, Waylon, Jones, Haggard, CDB, Jerry Jeff Walker, tompall Glaser.....

Well from my point of view, this was worth posting. I have to admit, the kind of country music that I was looking for is not on the radio much anymore. I just have to dig a little deeper to find it. Very good suggestions from a few of you. I have been listening to Tyler Childers stuff all morning.

I miss George Strait and Tracy Bryd, Tracy is my Pandora station when I'm looking for a country sound. Yes most is pop nowdays, all about selling singles. Luke Byran has won entertainer of the year multiple times. Went to a concert where he was the headliner. Little Boondocks was the opener, they were fantastic, left early in the Luke Bryan show. All his songs sounded the same. No I'm not old so it's not a generational thing, just a taste thing I guess. Music changes but there are times I want what many of us call a real country sound and it's hard to find on the radio.

I always kinda liked Cowboy Troy, he dared to be different when it wasn't popular!

I like it better than Achy Breaky Heart.

It's a hip hop song w/ "country music" flavor mixed in.
