Dan - These guys are too young to appreciate a 16.

I'd bet there are quite a few here that are familiar with the 16 Ga. as most duck hunters have a little "silver" above their ears.....but.....I don't recall Remington's last version of the famous 870 Wingmaster in 16 Ga. being a barn-buster on sales.
I wonder just how many "dozen" this young man has and if he'd be willing to part
with one that is in reasonable condition at a reasonable price?
I might even be willing to trade a Browning A-5 for a good SxS 16 in good shape.

Only one 16 sxs and I could never part with it. Pumps model 37 and a couple 87s I count 29 of them. Old ithicas are common around here because they made them just down the road. I had my own collection, then inherited both of my grandfathers collections. If you ever get a chance attend the Syracuse gun show always lots of ithicas.

I still pull out my dad's old model 37 sweet 16 featherlight for doves or occasionally for bobwhites. That old gun sure makes me look good!

I am happy to see Ithaca still in business and made in the USA being the owner of an old 37 fw and a deerslayer 2 but miss them being made in Central New York at the Ithaca Gun Works. The factory in Ohio and these firearms are made in Ohio.

Nice guns for sure, but man they're proud of the new ones.

    .....and "don't wait".
Gave the Browning A-5 (made in Belgium) to my youngest Son last night for an "early" Birthday present. It is a 1965 plain barrel version.
He was quite taken by that and I told him there was still one more of my shotguns I was holding in special reserve for him but I wanted to have something special done to it before I give it up.:yes
