    Agree with Clayton smartweed, great duck food, the birds in my area love it. Good thing to have.

    Anything I can spray on it now to amplify seed production?

    Nope. Even fertilizing moist soil supposedly only increases vegetation size but not increased seed yield.

    One of the great things about moist soil, no fertilizer needed. Really not much work once you get good establishment. I find controlling less desirable species to be the hardest work when it comes to moist soil management.

    Yes sir! I love smartweed. The birds in my area tear it up.

    Anything (spray) that controls the "less-desirables" without killing it? Would seem like that would be asking a lot...
