I was blessed with gout and a kidney stone
You throw ED in there and you'd have the trifecta. I'm sorry to hear that. I'll be praying for a quick recovery. Sounds like a change in diet is in order.
Hope you get well. Freefall's advice about examining your diet is good.
I have had a challenging year myself. I am a pretty healthy guy but I have battled a couple of health challenges this year. I'm not giving up without a fight.
Getting old sucks.
The boat of ill folks gets more and more crowded the older I get.
I was blessed with shingles at the age of 48, and now I'm 49 and it's still hanging on.
Apparently it'll be with me forever, yay.
Hope you get well soon, both of those ailments are very painful.
My old man has gout and heart disease and he keeps his gout flareups to a minimum and has his cholesterol and blood pressure way down through diet. If you have gout absolutely do not eat asparagus. If you want to talk to him or me to get any info from him let me know.
Kidney stones SUCK! Hope it is a "small" one and passes quickly.
Kidney stone: worst pain ever had. Worse than when I broke my pelvis. You have my sympathy. As for the gout, my business partner suffers from it from time-to-time and has for years. His doc prescribes Colchicine. It was very expensive, even with his insurance, but he's found a pharmacy that compounds its own and it is WAY cheaper.
What longduck said. I had several gout blowouts in my knee. My Dr put me on allopurinol and have not had a gout attack in over 5 years.
