Ultra liberal former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens admits that of all the decisions in his career, the Heller Individual Right to Bear Arms is what he considers the worst. Read the article and see not only did he hate this individual right, but actively tried to sabotage the majority opinion.

He’s a POS and never should have been on the court, if he’s more concerned with restricting a constitutional right, than protecting it. All that blather is just to attempt to excuse his malfeasance of views and his actions. Gunpowder storage laws were about firearms in the 1700s? He’s a moron. FIRE was the reason for that.

Heller? You meant that case that the NRA did nothing to pursue? The one they actually tried to derail once it got into the Court of Appeal? That case?

LOL - and the left would have you believe that it “was brought about in large part by a small band of lawyers and scholars backed by the NRA.” Who began their quest 35 years before the Heller decision.

“For more than three decades, the NRA has sponsored legal seminars, funded legal research and encouraged law review articles that advocate an individual’s right to possess guns, according to the organization’s reports. The result has been a profound shift in legal thinking on the Second Amendment. And the issue of individual gun-possession rights, once almost entirely ignored, has moved into the center of constitutional debate and study.”

Sotomayor's thinking is less about the Constitution and more about how she believes things ought to be.

Do who were the lawyers in Heller?

    Who funded them?

    Hint, it wasn't the NRA.
