Illinois finised First

    For the year 2017, two families moved out of the state for every family that moved in. as compared to Vermont(which finished last) which had two families move in for every family that moved out. Way to go Illinois.

    Yes it is close enough to Carbondale and in the country someone might bite

    14.76 overall tax burden is the worst in the nation. I would assume with losing people it will just continue to rise. Lol.

    Sure are a lot of folks outside of your state, who have a disliking for it, as well. I think it's viewed as a "real liberal" state, such as New York, Florida and California. Heard it said over the years, that the best thing that ever came out of Illinois, was I57. All this from a guy in Missouri's bootheel. Hell, we're called "Arkansas overflow".

    In the next couple of years I will gather my toys and relocate east of OKLAHOMA City My son is stationed at Tinker AFB my favorite nephew in relocating to NE OKC my two favorite hunting buddies Will be leaving my good friends but we shall see. Any input on this move will be great

    Although Illinois is a Hedoublehockeystick hole, at the present they do not tax retirement income, ie, pensions, IRAs, social security. Many states do.
