The only WMA I know that manages for dove is Grandview near Hope. Welcome to the state if you hunt public it's best to bring your own tree to hide behind.
Opening day in TN starts at noon, so I never even considered that angle. We did try to convince someone we were squirrel hunting once, but I digress. I learned a lot about sales while trying to get into dove hunts where I knew no one.
Couldn't get an invite for a private shoot and the paid shoot down the road was too pricey. Got permission from a farmer in between and pass shot birds trading back and forth.
$100.00 for a dove shoot, for realz? The most I've seen around mid-TN was $50 and that was for 3 days.
Up to 125-150 down heres.
Can't really say I blame em. Feed gets expensive.
Made it! Got a farm outside Wickes and now we got a years worth of remodeling and renovating.
