Nice Tom and 4 jakes. Starting to get the fever
I'm with you, can't wait. The weather is starting to warm up a little, and it just feels and sounds like turkey season outside. My goal this year is to get my 12 YO son his first bird.
I'm with ya and hoping my wife will get her 1st bird this year too. Good luck with your boy!
I'm soo ready, still have 6 weeks to wait. Wish I was in FL now tho!
Pulled up on them struttin in one of my foodplots the other day. Hopefully my 9yo can get his first. Been seeing 3 regulars in it plus more than several hens. Left a few out there last year. Hoping for a good season. Carving a turkey decoy at the moment, hope to have it huntable by the 17th.
You too! It was a big thrill when my older son got his first bird. At 16 he's shot 4 now, all on public land.
Killerv, have you carved other turkey decoys? I would love to see pics. What's the process?
About a month now
Starts the 15th at my river land. Can’t wait. Then I head out to TX the following week for work, and I’ll be taking the shotgun. Hoping for a better season than last year. Killed the only gobbler I saw.
3 weeks from Saturday for us in CA... Good luck!
St. Patrick's Day opener for me- sure to be wearing green!
