Just a breeder hen once. I mostly do duck decoys. I'm doing a gobbler now out of a palm frond, I'll be posting up a pic in the next week or two, hope to have it ready for paint after this weekend.

That stirs up the blood! To tell you how bad it is with me, driving back from scouting yesterday, hallucinated a big tom going down the highway at sixty five- it was a truck towing an airboat!

Son and I scoped out a field yesterday, looking through the trees to make sure nothing was in the field as we eased closer, dang it if we didn't have a tom standing 40 yards from us in the woods. Son didn't know turkeys could run that fast. Seen gobblers the past 4 trips out, youth season comes in Saturday!

Coming into work this morning, I'm getting ready to make my final turn off the main road, and a hen turkey is trying her dangdest to get across 6 lanes of highway. I could tell it wasn't her first time to cross it. She was looking both ways and everything. I couldn't help but laugh out loud and cheer her on! :l I sure hope she made it...
