Is there a chemical that will quickly rot wood?

    I am looking for a chemical agent that will quicken the speed of wood decay. 2x4 and plywood specifically. Seems there is a tresspasser on family ground and I want to remove their deer stand without "stealing" it.

    C-4 :yes

    There is some stuff they sell for accelerating rot in stumps.

    Place peanut butter at certain hinge points, and let the fury creatures do some chewing!;)

    In many states, if you are truly dealing with a trespasser, you cannot "steal" it; you now own it.

    Call a game warden, or a cop. If you set it up as a trap and he dies, and the post here is discovered -- it is called murder.

    Alternative -- set up one of those game cams.

    If it's on your property, just tear it down. Leave the pile of wood at the scene with a "No Trespassing" sign on top of it.

    NC said it best. Leave it in a pile at the bottom of the tree.

    If it's untreated plywood, get a porky near it and it'll eat the sucker in about 60 days.

    Sound like you have a great new tree stand for next season to me. why get rid of whats already built?

    Somebody hung a temp. metal tree stand on my bros land,which is now hanging in his garage,Thank you very much.:tu :mad:
