I’ve always thought you want the front face of the cork even with the tab. The cork is almost 1/8” proud of the tab. Is this how the cutters come, or should I send it back? It’s brand new from the shop, with standard rnt cork, I assume. The call sounds good, it just bugs me to think it could be a defect in manufacturing.

I've seen some RNT corks stick up above the tab. How's it sound?

The real question here is, would you really have sent it back, instead of, say, cutting the 1/8" off...

Thanks guys for the info. my mvp has just about 1/16” sticking out beyond the tab. That’s why I thought it was odd on the daisy cutter.

It sounds fine, hopefully she won’t stick. I’ve only ran it to try it out.
My mvp tends to stick once I run it and moisture builds up, but I love the sound. It’s like a love hate relationship, I don’t want to send it in for fear of the sound changing if the alter the tone board.

The cork being proud of the cork slot is totally normal on RNT's.

if you like the sound, don't want anything to change, and don't want to send it in anyway ,why even inquire about it? Too many calls get messed up by guys thinking they need to change it. Let it be and enjoy.

    Yup!

Don't touch it if sounds good and produces the sound you expect it to make leave it be.
