Yamaha 60 4 stroke Pwr T and trim on a 1872 G3. Want to install something that will allow engine to hinge up over stumps etc. The way it is now does not allow this. Any suggestions?

"Do not encounter obstacles at more than 5 mph."

    Not real sure about that.

Yes. I used the CMC BA-130 on a previous boat I owned. Although, now, I have the Vance HYDKU 6000 on my new boat. A little pricey, but is an awesome setup.

The only negative thing I can think of about the CMC is that your engine can come out of the water too far (engine has the ability to lay horizontal) when you make contact with something in the water. I'd limit the travel of the breakaway by adding a shorter chain or cable to the unit.

I have a Vance 3" jack plate and a CMC kick up plate. Boat, Vance, CMC, Motor in that order.
