Based upon lengthy compared to the boat we estimated a low of 16’ long of 20’. Either way it was big. We were so in awe we didn’t get the phones or cameras out but one of my buddy’s got a short video. Here is a still shot from it. Dirty water so hard to see

    The bay has been loaded this year. A friend saw three off of Marina a few weeks ago and we saw two in front of Moss Landing in the last few weeks.
    The hot spot is the cement ship too New Brighton with as many as18 different sharks.
    We did a crew trip the other evening and saw 9.

    I have seen them up close and personal a number of times off Point Arena.
    When I see kayak fishermen out trolling for Salmon I think back to the days I used to pitch big Creek Chub Pikie Minnows for Northern Pike and Muskies in Ontario.
    Same scale different fish. :eek::dv

    I free dove for abalone out of Point Arena for almost 20 years.

    Never ran into the warden. But you could feel him.

    A client of mine that passed away quite a few years ago had an encounter in Tomales while hunting. This was years ago. They were in a 16’ Jon boat. She said the shark was longer then the boat and swam along side them. She said it was so close she could of touched its eye. No thanks. I would of turned that boat around and got outta there in a hurry. Me and sharks don’t get along
