With the Widgeon and Pintail numbers down again this year on the AF. I am all for a complete closure of Mocc, therefore setting a protected area of habitat on the St. John's. This would be similiar to MI and the STA areas that cannot be accessed and hunted.
Don't think that I am making noise or trying to start some feud either. I am very serious.

    Pat,

I was forwarded the threads that you & Dan replied to Chuck's (3) three questions.

You claim that your plan is attempting to ward off encroachment of neighborhoods or the Parkway which comes nowhere near MOC, or restore bass fisheries (which is why the levee came down).

Wouldn't we be better off keeping (7) seven days rather than being @ (3) three days then having these HOA's in (20) twenty years complain about the shooting?

It appears now the "Chicken Little Syndrome" is kinda kicking in.

All your responses to Chuck were seemed to be all "what if's", which no one can predict.

Were you proposing this plan to:

    1) Shoot trophy ducks?

    2) Stop the HOA that may "never" be built, not even in (20) twenty years from closing down MOC?

    3) Keeping birds off the green areas/easements that have not even been built yet?

    4) Preserve the future of the waterfowling heritage?

    5) Relieve pressure from the 20 somethings over-hunting MOC?

    6) Have the birds imprint on MOC so they short stop before "migrating" to the STA's?

    7) Stop saltwater intrusion?

    8) Or what???

I'm truely confused because it seems your reasonings for attempting to restrict MOC from (7) seven days a week down to (3) three days a week keeps changing!!!:z

Some of your reasons seem clear on the surface, but beneath the surface it's a little cloudy.

I know in the end, your group will submit the "Dan Plan" & our group will attempt to stop it.

I just want to make sure you group is doing it for these reasons or are additional theories & plans going to pop up @ the mtg???

I guess my question is, is there only (1) one "Dan Plan" or is there a 2.1.0 "Dan Plan" with these new theories on what "may or may not happen???"
