    Is pheasants sitting yet out in Iowa Kansas and such. If so will this last batch of freezing cold and snow gonna affect the hatch? After a couple of years of good hatches was hoping for another because I'll be out in Iowa this fall and was hoping for

    They would have started laying but not many setting yet. They will be fine. It's the wet weather when they hatch that's not so fine.

    They wouldn't have even started in IA. Your looking at early may before they start dropping eggs. We are coming into the peak hatch around June 10th and the weather right now is one of the biggest determining factors in the fall numbers. If it's wet and cold many will die if warm and dry fall will be good.

    Iowa is quite a bit ahead of North Dakota. Report from Iowa DNR said quite a few broods were spotted in mid May already.
