Another Lares question...Got the hybrid and the T-1. Would like to get some reeds for the hybrid that aren't dog eared so I can cut my own dog ears. The lares reeds that are dog eared are too dog eared for my liking. Thanks.

Buy some reed blanks from Echo or just buy a sheet of .010 mylar from a sewing supply store and cut your own.
One of the great things about Lares is that with no cork as a variable you can easily cut and tune one to your liking.

Believe .325 is the last straight reed. Could possibly call the shop and ask if they could just not cut them...

Thanks. I was not sure the thickness. Is it .010? I know my rnt reeds seem a little too thick.

Thanks. Do you have the phone number for the shop? I can't find their web site any where.

I'm an exCalifornian now in Washington State. You know what else is nice about Lares as these are my first?
Hunting the corn last winter in the snow 6 Degrees f and my other calls were iced inside due to my spit but not the Lares and they performed pretty well. A little hic cup to get things fired up and then smooth as can be. The other calls were frozen icicles. No decoys or blind just a call = a few dead mallards.
