Looking for any info on this lares hybrid. Approximate year, value, etc... thanks
Check ‘sold’ ebay listings , been a ton of wood Lares on there recently
Guessing recently built (think this year) hybrid by Greg.
I was under the impression that they stopped making all wood calls
Check Ebay or book of faces for your answer.
Joe Lares who sold Lares to Brett opened up Larco post sale and made wood calls. it is my understanding Joe finally quit making wood calls as he is around 90. Brett still turns some wood calls. Waiting to hear from Brett on a recent order.
Thanks for the info! I’m trying to get my hands on a lares. I don’t know a whole lot about the company but I hear great things about the calls
Have a Lares Hybrid and T1 on my lanyard and they have convinced a lot of ducks to their demise. Good luck.
IDK all of the details but there's been some "odd" stuff going on with this Greg guy that has totally ruined the collector market, (turning new wood calls that are sometimes subpar quality). That and Brett started turning some uncommon colors that were never supposed to be turned again. Got a buddy that had an estimated $30k in lares as of two years ago and now he thinks they are only worth half that.
That being said, I won't blow anything else in front of my judges (the ducks), specifically calls that are post Brett's adjustments.
I don't know about that much of a dip. It's easy to tell the difference. They both sound great I think . . . .like a lares but the quality is not the same. New Lares calls coming from Brett sounds lights out IMO.
