Every once in a while I see someone post up about a decoy urn.

Here is the latest one to come out of my shop. Person who commissioned this one decided to go with a black duck. Self-righting, ready to hunt and display.

Bird has a turned mahogany urn which has been slip-case fitted into the body and sealed in with a cherry inlay cap.

Beautiful ! I wish the ones I have made looked as good. I make the last duck they have retrieved for me. I hunt them opening week, the rest of the time they reside on the fireplace mantel at our duck camp.

I have an old lab that probably won't make it another year. I intend to have one of these made. Don't even know what a good price point would be.
