    He wasn't very accomodating whe I contacted him to get a price, matter for fact he wouldn't give me a price.
    Personally I'd look elsewhere.:tu

    He might have more business than he wants if he puts up his shingle. From experience I know it can be frustrating to have to meet a deadline when decoy carving is a hobby, at least it is for me. If I have to make one, it isn’t fun any longer.

    I spoke with him a year are so ago about a sleeping mallard drake and I think the price was around $500 which is a little too steep for me. But his decoys are truly works of art and I don't think they are over priced for what you get. Another option is Cold Front Calls. Randy Cesco will build a tribute call to hold some of your buddy's ashes. He also turns out works of art in his calls. To me it would be really great to have your old friend with you on every hunt and then put him up on the mantle until the next year. That is the route I am going to take when my old man finally hangs it up.
