Indeed that involves the risks of picking and choosing by what's essentially a third party. ...sorta like in a dictatorial environment. That's not a very encouraging perspective for the long run in terms of how our Constitution values the individual.

Well we are certainly lesser as a whole if we let people divide us over their superstitious beliefs.

Are we not also lesser as a whole, if we disregard the beliefs and rights of individuals in lieu of the benefit and wants of the group (as in identity politics)?

If we constantly put the benefit of the group ahead of the rights of individuals, eventually it will degrade the social fabric of the group itself… Or at least that is how I view it… I believe another term for it is socialism…

Do we force others to serve others...sounds like forced servitude.

AKA: More equal than others...Protected Class.

Actually there is no evidence they wouldn't have sold the women cupcakes or anything else. It was a gay wedding cake they refused to make. So no they are not refusing service to people because they are gay or Jewish or whatever. The bakers are refusing to partake in a religious ceremony they find to be counter to their beliefs. Like my example of the Christian baker refusing to bake a cake for Satanists celebrating Satan.

You think a Muslim baker would be fined $135K for refusing to bake a cake and putting Allah's face on it? :no Anyone want to call a Muslim baker and find out? :no

    Exactly!!!
... if memory serves me right... the couple in question had been regular customers to said bakery. The baker had sold baked goods to them prior. But did not want to do the cake for the "wedding". So he had no problem with them being gay, just being married.

Again if memory serves (old salt so it's iffy) the couple did not have an issue with the denial, but, some of their friends got all in a tissy and started this snowball down the hill.
