    I've been hunting a time or two...:yes .....but you may never shoot one of these in a lifetime. Add in it was a one armed lefty shot....with my little 20 ga quail gun.

    If you'd like to hazard a guess...I will tell you it is an immature drake.

    Killing a few bluewings also....was just a little extra whipped cream on your sunday....

    Looks like a white cheeked pintail. Either a eescapee or lost. Either way congrats!!!

    It was not an escapee...I just learned that birds from an aviary must by law have the toe clipped...this one is intact.
