Hey if anyone knows of any duck leases in the area south of Alexandria, could you get me some information or even if you have information about anything to the North of Welsh to the Kinder area that would be helpful also.

When I got married, I moved a lot closer to this area than where I use to hunt. I have a blind that I share in Thornwell for geese, but would like to find something a little closer to home for ducks. Any information would be helpful.

Going to reach out again and make this an active thread. Still looking for something in these areas if anyone has any leads.

Good luck. People are as secretive about quality leases as they are about public land these days.

(If you find a good one, shoot me a PM :l)

Yea I know, but hoping get a lead or two LOL! I'm happy with my current lease and my wood duck hole (finally going to make some use of it this season), but would like to shoot ducks more often.

I see a bunch of rice around Oberlin and Mamou, don't have contacts but I am sure if you get out there and beat the bushes you can find one in those two areas.

I taught at Oberlin for 4 years and never could find anyone willing to lease. I've hunted a couple of spots around there thanks to former students and it can be pretty hit and miss according to them. Which that don't bother me, as I like going out and trying and ended the hunt with a few opportunities and few birds on the strap. Have not ventured out toward Mamou to look.
