Looking to make my own climbing sticks out of square tubing and trying to figure out how to crimp the ends so they fit inside the other and are stackable... Thanks for any advice

i just got a wide chisel and rounded the end off on a grinder so that it would not cut the metal. i then would start on one side of the tubing at the end and hamer it in a little. then keep going around a little at a time until you have it folded in on each side and it will slide into the other tube. worked great for me.

I used one size bigger tubing on mine, cut a notch out of one size that would slide over a step and lock it in place
