Looking for some "must read" books

    the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. The movie is pretty good too.

    I second that. I like reading his stuff especially the Dirk Pitt series. I also like Lone Survivor and am currently reading Service by Marcus Luttrell. Another good one was the only thing worth dieing for.

    The Maneater of Kumaon - Corbett
    Killer Angels - Shaara

    Honorable Mention goes to Soldat, Reflections of a German Soldier - Sigfried Knappe

    Anything by Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, Brad Taylor, for well written relevant anti-terror action, or "the first mountain man" series by william w johnstone.

    Biography--Winston Churchilll-The Last Lion (Wm Manchester) two volumes and, vol 3 just published by another author. They don't make them like this anymore.

    you know, I see a lot of gun posting questions etc etc on the gener al forum and no one ever complains. Someone ask one lil question about books, whammo

    sent to the book forum. why aint the gun stuff sent to the shooting reloading forum?
