Fall or spring for snows? There are huntable numbers in the fall in the central/south central part of the state but not what I would call huge numbers. In the spring that same area can provide some opportunities but nothing like the Eastern part of the state. I’ve lived/hunted in central KS my entire life. Over the last half dozen years I feel the quality of waterfowl hunting has decreased here. I have some ideas as to why but who the heck really knows. If I was going to relocate out of state to find better hunting opportunities I would be looking at Nebraska.

I would look at some of the smaller towns within 30-45 minutes of Topeka. We're covered up right now with snows & canadas here along the Missouri River in NE Kansas...Good Luck!...NC

Great Bend if you really want snow geese. Also Manhattan has a nice pocket of snows that not a lot of people know about. until now lol
