Manitoba bound

    Thanks, talked to our friend that we stay with and he says that the Ducks are starting to migrate through as well as some dark geese.. Only an occasional group of Snows are around.

    Very few ducks around here! If you are looking for ducks keep driving west or north. Out hunting today and saw one flock of mallards in a marsh that I should have had my limit in an hour. Heard from a couple other local hunters who know the honey holes and they are getting skunked. This is almost unheard of!

    We were barren last year. I don't think I saw 500 mallards all season last year. I've had mornings of 20 or 30 flocks of 500 or more birds going into fields up here. I also have never seen so much water in fields as this year.
