I shot a banded blue yesterday. Second one in two weeks. The band had some heavy wear so I new it would be several years old. Turns out it was banded in 2001. I figured something was up when I entered the info and got a warning box stating to check the submitted information due to it being unusually old. BBL also wanted pictures of bird and band. Wow
No wonder they are such wary birds
Just think of the number of decoy spreads that bird saw and survived...........that is until he saw yours

Nice! Are you still seeing good numbers in IL or just tail end Charlie's?

There are a few still here in the area I hunt but I think we peaked about 2-2 1/2 weeks ago. There may be a few more come through but I think the majority are through. I can't speak for other areas. Some will say "The juvies are coming, the juvies are coming". Well, there were tons of juvies a week or so ago. The fat lady may have not sung but she's clearing her throat.
