Been marked since last year when we didn't get a blind again !!!!!
Because of flooding and lack of state budget all blind draws have be cancelled
A place I know would have to rent a fleet of World War II landing craft's to accommodate the public and to hold the card tumbler.
Don't ask if there is a contingency plan, cause there ain't one.
Start pumping now.
Got to have a place to pump it too!!!!
You would be amazed at the number of people that say "Get to pumping" or "you better get that water out of there so some feed can grow" when the water is up.
Indeed there has to be somewhere for it to go and fuel / funds ain't something that's in an unlimited supply.
I'll tell those guys to grab a bucket worth of water to take home with them or grab a roll of paper towels and get to soaking it up.
MudDuk - I hunt Sanganois mostly. Own some private property just north of there but we have the same water problem !!! Right now the Illinois is 14 ft over normal level - 8ft over flood stage. Sanganois will have to lose all 14 ft to get to planting level and the same applies to our property. Floods have wiped out all water control on most private areas around here and very few of us have the time or $$$ to try to keep it under control. Good Luck !!!! Hope you have better luck down there !!!
Come on guys where there is a will there is a way
Spring planting indeed... hahahaha
