Maybe it’s not the economy, stupid?

The shock was that we were told Trumps policies would tank the economy. His Presidency would cause a world wide recession. We were told that 2% GDP was the "new normal" and that we would have to learn to live with it.

If 1.9% GDP is considered "pretty good" -- then 4.2% must be considered smokin, huh?!

Could it have been the ACA putting a dent in a bunch of peoples paychecks?

I never noticed a hit in my paychecks. Nothing real world. Then again, the real world tax savings right now isn’t evident either.

4.2% is just quarterly. We will see what the annual ends up being.

My premiums doubled, to $800 month on an employer plan (not private). My taxes lowering caused a small move in a positive direction for me.

Starting today (I just quit working for my employer of 13 years), my health insurance is paid by the company. AND I got a raise! Raise da roof!

Among the many ways to achieve a nirvana like bliss, ignoring stuff is one of them. :tu

We all often worry too much about fluff.
