The way I look at if is the fewer parts the less to go wrong. When your in the field you want to keep it as simple as possible. I personally shoot the Montecs.

I used 4 blade 115gr. Muzzy's in the past with my older set-up and had no problems with that head. I currently use a 100gr. Rocket Steelhead with the newer bow and have not been disappointed.

I dont trust the machanical ones. I just use fixed blades all the time.

i will only shoot fixed blades. i've shot 2 blade bears for about 7 years with good results. i;m thinking about goin to a 3 blade muzzy because i'm tired of sharpining my bears over and over.

My thoughts exactly. Conventional fixed broadheads will do nothing more than punch a hole in turkeys allowing them to fly off.

    I would have voted "both".

I prefer fixed, but mechs can work great if properly used.

Thunderhead 125 is the only broad head I'll shoot!!! 45 deer 13 elk , 1 moose, 3 bears, 2 caribio and I only lost one deer due to a arrow deflection. Say what you will but if I want to put meat on the table NAP is on my shaft.
